CHECKERBOARD
This mug has been wheel-thrown from stoneware clay. It was initially fired to approximately 1060 degrees Celsius. An earthy brown, and a soft pink speckle glaze was then applied in a checker-board pattern and re-fired to approximately 1240 degrees Celsius.

Material: high-fired stoneware for durability and functional use.
Glaze: reactive glazes that create varied surfaces and intentional bleeding and colour runs. Earthy silky matt brown with high gloss pink and intentional matt to gloss transition.
Finish: food-safe, lead-free glaze
