This mug has been wheel-thrown from stoneware clay. It was initially fired to approximately 1060 degrees Celsius. An earthy brown, and a cream speckle glaze was then applied and re-fired to approximately1240 degrees Celsius.

This mug is a playful reminder on the importance of being in the moment.

Key qualities

  • Material: high-fired stoneware for durability and functional use.

  • Glaze: reactive glazes that create varied surfaces and subtle colour runs. An earthy brown on the interior, and a cream speckle on the exterior, all with a high gloss finish.

  • Size: small. Perfect for herbal teas, flat whites and espressos.

What to expect

  • Unique patterns of movement and colour; no two mugs are ever identical.

  • Natural variations such as small run marks, pooled glaze, and slight colour shifts.

  • A stable, functional vessel suitable for daily use and display.

Care

  • Handwashing recommend.

  • Avoid sudden temperature changes (do not move directly from freezer to hot liquid).

  • Please note that a subtle message has been imprinted onto the interior upper surface, creating indentation. When washing, take a little extra care to ensure this area is thoroughly cleaned and free from residue.

  • Minor surface variations are inherent to the piece and part of its character.

  • Finish: commercially available glaze rated food-safe, lead-free
